Part of me wants to boycott Roland for their unwillingness to keep current drivers for this product. The drivers included with Mac OS X works with the interface without edirol um — 1ex problem. Edirol by Roland USB Midi Interface Cable Um-1ex. For years, I resisted getting an eBay account. My support query some years ago was never answered. This is the EDIROL UA-1000 driver for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Professional x64 Edition. UA-1000 Driver Version 2.0.1 for Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier This version provides support for Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard). I have a new Mac Pro running High Sierra 10.13.6 and I can 't get any of the drivers to work. The UA-1ex is not seen in the system preferences for sounds not can it be selected in the Audacity input or output menus. Never had this problem on my other macs, but it is not happening this time.v Help much appreciated. UM-1 Driver Version 2.1.0 for Mac OS X. This is a driver for using the EDIROL UM-2 (UM-2, UM-2EX) on Mac OS 9 series. This download includes Opcode's OMS MIDI driver version 2.3.8.
Clean-All USB Driver Utility
This utility clears out all Roland USB Windows drivers and should be used if you are having difficulty installing your USB driver.
Note: You will have to reinstall the drivers for any other Roland device that is using a USB connection for Audio or MIDI.
